Before me, Matahiwi whare nui captures your attention, surrounded by carvings,rivers and beautiful orchards, many iwi and whanau come to visit. The carvings seemed to tell you stories as you see every groove and movement, bursting out of many carvings. As Tom greets us with Maori legends I think of those people, ancestors of Maui.
"I would like to carve like this", I said. I would like to come back one day and see if anything has changed".

Waterways
Fresh water, waterways are rich and diverse habitats. There are greater varieties of animals living in the calm waters of lakes and ponds than rivers.
Areas that are permanently water logged are known as wetlands. Wetlands have shallow water which are teeming with fish. Animals inhabit wetlands. Trees and tall plants are home to many insects. Wetlands provide places for birds.

School Lunch
Sometimes, but not often I eat my lunch on the soggy grass or the rock hard concrete, I swap my crispy apple for Hannah's cheesy toasties, Hannah's cheesy toasties are wrapped in clear glad warp, they are much tastier than my red,shiny apple. We scoff down Hannah's toasties as quickly as I can,then,I sprint to the back of the field squishing a biscuit in my hand.

My house
I live about 200m away Clive School.Our house is surrounded by swishy grass and, muddy creek water. We have a pool that twinkles in the bright sun.The decking creaks as you tiptoe along it.The bright orange house has a master bedroom and 3 other bedrooms.We are paddock to paddock and creek to creek our house is a wonderland.

Baking Cupcakes & Fudge
So with flour sifting, butter melting, I am drooling over the cupcakes cooking. The cupcakes will be exploding and dissolving as each bite slides down my throat.
