Matahiwi Marae

Before me, Matahiwi's Whare nui amazed visitors, surrounded by carvings, Maori art and ancestors, many gathered here.  The carvings seemed to invite you when you waled past - telling stories as you looked at them.  Colours dash through the murals, on the walls, painting pictures in your mind - boom, splash!  Pencils sketching away on paper, oh what a sight.
"Wow look at that, hey what interesting murals", I say.
"Time to come back", shouts Miss Northe.
"Oh I want to stay sketching", but I listen and moan.

School lunch

Most days I eat my lunch on hard bumpy concrete.I swap sandwiches with Harry and Liam.Their packets of chips or home baking packed into their lunch boxes are way tastier than mine.We would stuff food as quickly into our mouths, then, clutching a sheet of tinfoil I run to the classroom and grab a ball.
