The Clive River Field Trip, 30th May 2012
When we arrived under the Clive bridge we looked around, the only things we could see were a table, two big trees and of course the Clive River. We slowly approached the freezing water. We couldn't wait to catch all the creatures. Everyone lunged at the nets the second they saw them.
Clutching the nets people swiped the shallow waters for all the bugs. All that they found was rocks and weed. People roamed the bank trying to warm up.

What room 7 has been leaning this term
Over the past term room 7 has been learning about water and water life.
We have learnt that eels can live for 80 years, eels are born in Tonga and they float to NZ. When they near the end of their life time they go back to tonga to mate.
The long fin eels can grow to 2 meters long and short fin eels to 1 meter long.
Rivers are healthy if they have bugs like mayflies in them.
last Tuesday we went to the fish n games, we learnt heaps
