The Drain Adventure

Yesterday Pip, from the HB Regional Council told us about drains and water ways. After she told us about the drains we went outside to do the drain game.  We looked around the school for drains.  First we went to the drains by the new class room.  When we opened the drain their was rubbish and daddy long legs in it.  Next we looked at Room8 gutter drains then we went down the witches steps to see then a drain going into Muddy Creek.  Then Pip went up the drive way and on the bridge. We saw a  can in Muddy creek, we saw lots of rubbish in the creek as well.  In the sewer we saw a mattress and lots of cans and bottles.  Our teacher(Mrs Northe) showed us some of the most polluted rivers and streams in the world on the computer before our walk!  One of the most polluted ones was in China.  There were people wearing gas masks just to go on a big ferry through it.  We thought it was very scary and horrible.

One school morning my teacher Miss Northe took us to the pool.  When I dipped my foot in the pool; boom, my body was frozen.  So, with my arms I got out, my legs shivering, goose bumps were waving.  When I got out the hot beaming sun was on me and I said I wanted another swim.

When I was going to school it was windy and my huge black Afro was blowing around.  At home I was having a steering contest with my brother, my big bulging brown and white eyes made my brothers eyes blink.  I won.

I was at school and there was a cat.  It had sharp teeth so I showed the cat my huge white shinny sharp teeth.  The cat was scared and ran away.
